Doctor’s On Call In Maui, for Vacation Renters

Sunday, August 23rd, 2009

We love staying at Nohonani Condos And Resort on Maui (Unit 204 is our favorite).  Its a great little resort and boasts one of the only beaches among the resorts in Kahana/Kaanapali.

Our last trip to Maui was dotted with medical experiences. My wife had some tooth problems, I got an ear infection, and my son scraped off some skin in a surfing/coral-dragging incident.

Upon the first of us falling ill we did a quick search and found Doctors On Call in Lahaina. They’re quick and pretty simple and you can almost always get in to see a doctor that day.

Be prepared :)

Dolphin Show in Kaanapali

Thursday, August 13th, 2009

We spent two weeks in Kaanapali this past spring and got to see an amazing school of dolphins swim past our resort. They did flips and spins, it was really quite a show. You could have seen it from any of our Resorts in Lahaina, Kaanapail, or maybe even Napili. We were staying at Nohonani Condos and Resort.

Great Golfing In Kapalua

Friday, July 24th, 2009

Here is a great suggestion. Check out Nohonani Condos and Resort, unit 204 which is technically located in an area called Honokawai. Where is this? It is located about 7 minutes South of Kapalua and about ten minutes North of Kaanapali. This condo is truly a hidden gem. When you see the location, you will hardly believe your eyes. Sit on your lanai and what you see is water, as clear as the finest of crystal and a big beautiful beach with white powdery sand. In addition, for those of you who love golf, there are two excellent courses 7 minutes North of the condo in Kapalua. Try the Kapalua Bay course. Zagat guide says” that many call this the friendliest course on the North end of Maui, with great new greens installed just in time for 2008’s inaugural Kapalua LPGA Classic.” You will find wonderful service and that it is enjoyable to players of all skill levels.

The other amazing course is The Kapalua Plantation course which according to the Zagat Guide is “As beautiful and breathtaking as they come and the top rated course in Hawaii. You may have seen it on tv during the PGA’s Mercedes-Benz Championship.”

If your spouse is not a golf lover, there is a wonderful spa at The Ritz Carlton that anyone would find extremely enjoyable. I personally have visited several times and have really enjoyed the massages they offer.

After this fabulous day, you will merely have a 7 minute drive back to the condo (Nohonani 204) and can sit on the lanai overlooking the turquoise water and mellow out sipping a nice cool glass of lemonade or a great bottle of wine. You truly can’t find a better located or more attractive condo. As you fall off to dreamland, you will hear the sound of the gentle waves lulling you to sleep. That is what I call Nirvana!!

Economic Recession Equals Fabulous Vacation At Nohonani 204

Thursday, July 9th, 2009

Here is the good news about the recession we are all mired in. Where else but Hawaii (think Maui, Nohonani 204) can you get an oceanfront/beachfront one bedroom condo that sleeps four for $125 a night? Check out this romantic Polynesian style bed,

This is a very peaceful, laid back location that is perfect at this time of stress for each of us. The rates have never been lower and the location is amazing. You can practically roll out of bed and hit the BEACH & OCEAN! Looking to save money? Here you can make your own meals, sit on the lanai for cocktails or a cup of coffee and really relax. On second thought, forget the television and just bring a few good books. No ringing telephones, no emails (we have high speed in the unit as well as a telephone, of course). I recommend leaving it all behind and using whatever time you have this summer and fall to de-stress and refresh yourself so you will be better able to address all the problems you left behind, after you leave Maui. Nohonani 204 puts you in a different “zone.” Many of our guests tell us it was the best thing they ever did for themselves. So, what are you waiting for?

Do yourself a BIG favor. As little as five nights will make you into a different person!
