Fun Time in Unit 109

Monday, March 29th, 2010

Just wanted to share some unsolicited comments from our last guest in unit 109:

Because of the open side and front of this corner first floor property, lacking the divider in most other studios, #109 offers, with the binoculars provided, an amazing view of the whales and turtles directly in front and to the South of the Napili Bay Resort. Shaded by a lovely tree and light palm fronds, this lanai puts you on the beach while providing privacy. We stocked up at the Napili Plaza Shopping Center with excellent sushi take out, ribs and tacos, and seldom felt the need to roam. The condo has a brand new convection oven or we found friendly people willing to share the pristine propane grills and conversation when we tried the local fish from the fish market on Lower Honoapiilani Rd – where there is a farmer’s market as well. For a big night out there are Merrimans (Excellent!) or Sea House (Breakfast!) Restaurants. Parking always available in the private lot and far from the noisy daily garbage collection. For us, this was an ideal vacation: steps from the water, a swimable bay, whales breaching and blowing, turtles and people surfing, good fresh food…the thunderous sea. We loved it!

WEST SIDE MAUI ACTIVITIES

Sunday, March 21st, 2010

The whales are numerous and active right now, and I just experienced my best “whale watch” ever with Captain Steve and his zodiac out of Mala Wharf in Lahaina.  The whales were under the boat and greeting us by slapping their 2 ton pectoral fins at us as if trying to shake hands.  You don’t soon forget an experience like this.  Steve is very knowledgeable, helpful and not “full of himself” like some of the other boat captains I’ve experienced.

I booked with Lisa Loomis at Maui Concierge Service located in the Activity Center at nearby Kapalua.  You can phone Lisa directly at (808) 665-8213 or contact lisa.loomis@kapalua.com.  Lisa doesn’t just sell any activity, she experiences them first hand before deciding whether to recommend them.  Whether it’s a whale watch, helicopter ride, zip line, luau or experiencing some of the free hiking trails that are offered in the West Maui Mountains; Lisa has the information for you.

Great activities for Maui Condo

Saturday, September 12th, 2009

While staying at The Whaler 661, you may want to check out a great show and attraction very close to the condo in Lahaina. This theatrical experience is located at the Lahaina Center. The show is called Ulalena. It is something cultural that you can do that balances out all that swimming and snorkeling! It is a great inside activity for that rare day or night when the weather isn’t simply gorgeous! The telephone # is 808-661-9913 or toll free at 877-688-4800.

Gorgeous location nestled on Hana Bay

Gorgeous location nestled on Hana Bay

Hana Kai 206 joins the AlohaCondos family of excellent condos as a unique offering for those wishing to explore the ‘wilder side’ of Maui. Come see the jungle rain forest where greenery grows larger than you can imagine! House plants you see at home are towering over your head in Hana’s east side jungle… but don’t worry, Hana town is a sunny bright spot on this lush coast. Despite the forest surroundings, Hana rarely experiences full days of rain. Rather, a delightful sunny downpour will come visit for 20 minutes, watering all the plants, then will clear up for a warm sunny day!

Don’t rush through this unique side of the island, don’t drive in and out like a tourist… slow down, stay awhile- stay in Hana Kai 206. Lull yourself into deep relaxation with the sights and sounds of the ocean from your livingroom, kitchen and ahh… the lanai! With comfy furniture, granite countertops and a full kitchen- you have everything you need to have a fantastic stay ‘out East’. And no need to pack your car with beach toys, we provide boogie boards, beach chairs, beach towels, cooler, umbrella and even blue ice for your day at the beach. You won’t even need to pack or hunt for snorkelling rentals- we have that too!

Hana Kai 206 is our ‘Cabin at the Sea’ and we would love to share this very special location with you. Home to an ancient fresh water spring, this sacred property was a stopping point for old Hawaiians to rest and rejuvenate themselves with its protected cove and fresh water springs. There is even remnants of an old heiau (sacred spot or Temple in Hawaiian) that honored this land.

Where old meets new, Hana Kai 206 has just undergone a $90,000 remodel… come see for yourself what everyone is raving about!!!
