White Sands Beach in Kona, Good Day Trip

Tuesday, July 21st, 2009

White Sands Beach may be small but it’s a great place to spend the day. Just bring a few drinks and your beach gear because there are plenty of great restaurants within walking distance. From any of our Big Island Resorts, just head North, you can’t miss it.

They also call it Magic Sands Beach because sometimes the sand gets pulled back into the ocean overnight. Don’t worry, it comes back.

Great day trip: Once Around The Big Island

Wednesday, July 15th, 2009

Based in any of our Resorts in Kailua-Kona a great day trip is to head North around the island. Cruise through the Parker Ranch, up through Honaka’a, hit the waterfalls just out of Hilo, stop for lunch in Hilo, and finish out the day at the Volcano Park. It’s a big island but it’s not too big.

p.s. Make sure to be back out to the highway by the time the park closes. They *will* lock you into the park (not that it’s ever happened to me :) )
