Packing for Your Hawaiian Vacation

Even though the weather is usually warm in Hawaii, the islands do experience periodic rain fall and chilly weather in the evenings. When packing for your trip, you should plan for the Hawaii weather by bringing a few pairs of pants and a windbreaker or sweatshirt for those chilly evenings.
Also, if you are planning to go sailing or boating while on vacation, you should bring some waterproof gear and comfortable shoes that are appropriate for the boat. Many people fail to consider what they will be doing while on vacation, so they pack more for the weather than anything else.
If you are unsure about which activities you will be participating in during your vacation, pack a few essential items like running shoes, shorts, and long and short sleeved shirts. This will help if the Hawaii weather changes during your stay. Many times, the rain in Hawaii will not linger. So while it may rain in the morning, by the afternoon, it will be sunny again.
Once you arrive in Hawaii, you should have a better idea of what you will need during your stay. You can buy extra clothing and equipment on most of the islands, so don’t worry too much if you forget to pack a sweatshirt. There are many tourist shops and surf shops that will have what you need.
Enjoying your vacation regardless of the weather is important. There are many museums, indoor events, restaurants, and night clubs to enjoy if the weather is cold or if it is raining. Sometimes a rain shower can be very beautiful as it falls over the ocean.
If you have a balcony or a terrace in your condo, you can sit outside and listen to the rain falling. Many times, the rain does not affect the temperature, so you can still enjoy being outside even though it is raining.
